Harmony Adds More Smart Home Devices, Still Hasn't Shipped Z-Wave/Zigbee Extender

While lots of folks are speculating about voice, motion and wearable control of the smart home, Logitech keeps plugging along with its Harmony remote lineup. Smart Lock Funding Frenzy Continues As Unikey Gets $10 Million Series A

Follow @michaelwolf Ok, so maybe 'frenzy' is too strong a word, but after August's $38 million series B about two weeks ago, we're seeing some significant validation of the market. I had a chance to talk to Unikey CEO Phil Dumas, and he made it clear the focus of this funding round was on strategic investors rather than traditional VCs: "Although we let some traditional VCs in this round, it was more important for us to bring in strategic investors." Sesame Smart Lock Hits $1 Million on Kickstarter

The smart lock category apparently still has some legs. The Sesame smart lock, which launched on Kickstarter on February 25th, has surpassed the $1 million funding threshold on Kickstarter. The lock, created by Candyhouse, has also just passed six thousand backers. While I'm not sure how well the lock will ultimately work, the Kickstarter campaign has been a well oiled machine from the very beginning.
